Sindhupalchowk. The Tatopani border point has been temporarily opened to bring in goods for Dashain. With the opening of the border point, cargo vehicles have entered Nepal from China’s Autonomous Region of Sichang since early morning.

Chief of Tatopani Customs Office Dipendra Prakash Giri said the transit point was opened for three days in order to ease the supply of festival goods and other essential goods to Nepal.

Buddharaj Basnet, president of Sindhupalchowk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said that more than 45 containers were waiting to enter Nepal at Nyalam of Sichang.

China has completely closed the Tatopani transit point from September 15 until further notice.
