Govt, Durga Prasain group hold talks to waive loans below Rs 20 lakh

Kathmandu. The talks between the government and the Durga Prasain group have concluded. The talks between the government and Durga Prasa in’s group ended at the Home Ministry in Singha Durbar on Wednesday. 

In the talks, the Prasain group has demanded 27 points from the government.Madhav Prasad Khatiwada of Prasain Group submitted a 27-point demand letter to Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal.

The 27-point demand letter submitted by the Prasain group has also mentioned the issue of loan waiver.“Loans of microfinance and cooperatives below Rs 20 lakh taken by the proletariat and landlords should be waived. It is mentioned in point number 7 of the demand letter.

Similarly, the Prasain group has demanded repeal of the constitution, scrapping the provincial structure, appointing a direct executive prime minister , separating banks and businessmen, repatriation of youths who have gone abroad to repay loans of microfinance and cooperatives and repatriation of 7 ,000 youths languishing in Gulf jails as per their skills.
