Ministry of Education directs immediate management of students affected by settlement collapse

Kathmandu. Minister for Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokharel has issued a 6-point circular regarding the safety and facilitation of the students who are in trouble due to the relocation of the squatters. Following the minister’s directive, the Education and Human Resource DevelopmentCenter under the Ministry has issued various directives and requests to make the examination management of the students, the adjustment and coordination of the schools in the affected settlement after the relocation of the squatters.

The Centre has also requested all local levels to facilitate the transfer of the affected students to a suitable school while removing the squatters .

Particularly, the students participating in the class 12 examination that started from Monday have been requested to make necessary facilitation to go to the examination center and make alternative arrangements in the place where the school itself has been affected.

The Ministry has requested the local levels to send any other complaints, problems or suggestions related to the students and schools of the slums to the center. The circular is as follows:
