Squatters at RSP office demanding to stop bulldozers (Photos)

Kathmandu. The affected locals have come out in protest as the government is preparing to vacate the squatters’ settlements on the banks of the rivers in the Valley. The squatters reached the party office of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) on Friday, demanding to stop the decision to operate the bulldozer.

In view of the possible tension of the demonstration, there is a heavy presence of security personnel in the office premises and security has been tightened.

As per the instructions of the government, the police started miking in the affected areas from Thursday evening. The squatters have been asked to vacate the settlement by Friday evening. The miking will continue again throughout the day today and the dozer will be operated from Saturday morning. See the rest of the picture:
