Kathmandu. The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered businessman Shekhar Golchha to be produced before the court within 24 hours. A single bench of Justice Nripa Dhwaj Niraula issued the order to this effect.

After Golchha’s arrest, his wife Seema Gol chha had filed a writ petition of habeas corpus .In the petition, she had demanded that Golchha be released from jail saying he was illegally arrested and kept in detention. 

The Supreme Court has ordered the Central Investigation Bureau (CI B) to present Golchha before the court through the Office of the Attorney General within 24 hours of the date of his remand.

The court has also ordered the court to submit a written reply regarding the arrest and detention of Golchha.The Kathmandu District Court had remanded Golchha in custody for 4 days for further investigation.
