Traffic police collect Rs 22.74 lakh in a single day

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,489 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. This amount of revenue has been deposited in the state exchequer by Rs 22,74,504.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 49 people were taken for drunken drinking, 258 for ride-sharing against the rules, 170 for traffic code violators and 112 for speeding.

Similarly, action taken against 325 people for flouting lane discipline, 64 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 121 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 62 for boarding and dropping passengers at designated places and 1,328 for not following other traffic rules.
