7th edition of Pratibha Nakshatra to be held in August, a grand celebration of talent and culture from across the globe

Kathmandu. The seventh edition of ‘Pratibha Nakshatra-7’ is going to be held on August 16, 2026 at Plumstead Common (near Manor School, SE18 1JU) in London, targeting the Overseas Nepali Community and International Cultural Forum. According to the organizers, the event aims to strengthen cultural exchanges by bringing together talents from all over the world.

The ‘Pratibha Nakshatra’ program was started a few years ago with the aim of highlighting the hidden talents of the young and young generation. The program, which has been successfully completed in various phases, has been making its mark at the international level as well. In previous editions, participants from diverse countries enriched the event by showcasing their culture, art and talent. With this continuity, the seventh edition is going to be organized with more extensive and international participation.

Arrangements have been made for participation in the program from different countries of the world except Nepal. The competition will be run in two categories – Bal Pratibha Nakshatra (Children) and Youth Pratibha Nakshatra (Youth). Participants from both groups can display any type of talent in their own unique cultural or traditional attire.

The competition will be held in three stages, which include introduction phase, talent demonstration stage and Q&A phase. Attractive cash prizes have been arranged for the winners. The first, second and third winners in the boys’ category will get 500 pounds, 400 pounds and 300 pounds respectively while the youth category will get 700 pounds, 600 pounds and 500 pounds respectively. In addition, all the winners will be awarded with trophies, certificates and gift bags.

Another special attraction of the program will be the construction of ‘Pratibha Nakshatra Cultural Village’. Under this, different communities will be able to present their cultural identity with their traditional attire. The cultural village will have various structures such as a literature hall (Kitab Jatra), kitchen, art and handicraft house, health and environment house and sales and promotion house.

Book exhibitions and cultural presentations will be held in the Literature Hall, while the kitchen will provide an opportunity to prepare and sell traditional food items. Similarly, there will be exhibitions, sales and live creative activities at the Art and Handicraft House. The Health and Environment Home will organize awareness programs and promote organic and eco-friendly materials through the sales and promotion houses.

Traditional structures such as Tharu Ghar, Khas Ghar, Newari Ghar will also be presented to depict the cultural diversity. In addition, there will be cultural representation of other communities around the world, including the African community. There is no age limit for participation in the cultural village.

Participants have to register online through the official website or Facebook page of Pratibha Nakshatra. The organizers have requested all those interested to participate in the program by completing the registration process on time.

According to the organizers, the main objective of the program is to promote equality, coexistence, mutual respect and cultural exchange as well as to transfer language, culture and tradition to the new generation.
