Petroleum products worth Rs 16.81 billion imported from Kakarbhitta border point

Kathmandu. Till mid-April of the current fiscal year 2082/83, Nepal imported petroleum products worth Rs 16.81 billion from Kakarvitta.

Information Officer at the Mechi Customs Office and customs officer Ishwor Kumar Humagain said that petrol, diesel, LP gas, ATF, coal, among other goods were imported during the period. According to him, Rs 7.44 billion revenue has been collected from the import of petroleum products in the first nine months of the current fiscal year.

As per the statistics of the office, 83,448 kilolitres of petrol worth Rs 7.75 billion was imported during the period. Likewise, 55,024 kilolitres of diesel worth Rs 5.87 billion was imported.

Similarly, 19,136.693 metric tonnes LP gas worth Rs 1.90 billion, 5,988 kilolitres ATF worth Rs 575.1 million and 34,524.490 metric tonnes of coal worth Rs 701.2 million were imported.
