Lalitpur Metropolitan City unveils budget of Rs 7.48 billion

Kathmandu. Lalitpur Metropolitan City has presented a budget of Rs 7.48 billion for the coming fiscal year 2083/84. Presenting the budget for the coming fiscal year, Deputy Mayor of the metropolis Manjali Shakya Bajracharya said that the budget was brought around the current fiscal year. 

The budget has allocated Rs 3.25 billion for recurrent expenditure.Deputy Mayor Bajracharya also clarified that arrangements have been made to spend the budget in a frugal, transparent and rational manner.

The sub-metropolis estimates that the current expenditure may increase due to the increase in the salary of the employees.Likewise, Rs 4.23 billion has been allocated for capital expenditure. This is 6 percent less than the current fiscal year, said Deputy Mayor Bajracharya. Ward level programs and thematic areas have been given priority in the budget.

Deputy Mayor Bajracharya also said that has been arranged for monthly reporting with the concerned body for the implementation of the budget. Similarly, the budget has also ensured budget for the under-construction projects, according to Lalitpur Metropolitan City.
