Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Police have arrested three persons on the charge of cheating people on the pretext of lucrative foreign employment. The arrestees have been identified as Gagan Bahadur Syangtan of Bara, Nirjal Basnet of Sarlahi and Bal Bahadur Chand Thakuri of Dang.

Gagan Bahadur has been found to be out of contact after receiving Rs 430,000 from four people promising to send him to Maldives, Rs 390,000 from one of them for sending him to Malaysia and Rs 100,000 from Bal Bahadur in the name of sending him to Croatia.

A police team deputed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku arrested them from Kathmandu and Lalitpur acting on the complaint of the victim.

Of them, Gagan Bahadur has been sent to the District Police Range, Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action, while Nirjal and Bal Bahadur have been sent to the Foreign Employment Department, Tahachal, Kathmandu.
