Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Kumari Bank, as a part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, has provided smart television services to 6 community secondary schools located in Gaumul Rural Municipality of Bajura district.
The program, implemented through Gaumul branch of the Bank in coordination with the rural municipality, aims to promote ICT-based teaching and learning in schools in rural and remote areas, expand students’ access to digital education and strengthen quality education opportunities.
The support is expected to make the teaching-learning process more effective, interesting and technology-friendly for schools in Gaumul region which have limited access to modern educational resources due to geographical difficulties.

Kumari Bank believes that education is the fundamental right of every child and has been conducting such programs with the aim of bridging the gap in educational opportunity and resources between rural and urban areas. The bank believes that the smart televisions provided by the bank will help connect students with digital content, audio-visual media and modern technology-based education. It is expected that students from remote areas will be able to have equal access to quality education by providing them with technology-friendly learning opportunities at par with their urban counterparts.
In line with its vision of ‘Kumari Bank for Community’, the bank has been implementing various CSR programs in the areas of education, health, financial literacy, environment conservation and community development. The bank believes that this support in the education sector will inspire future generations to acquire knowledge and skills to adapt to the digital era and have a long-term positive impact on enhancing the quality of education at the local level.
