Rs 13.33 lakh revenue collected from traffic action in 24 hours

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,042 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. This has contributed Rs 13.33 lakh to the state exchequer.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 56 people were taken for drinking, 121 for ride-sharing against the traffic rules, 87 for breaching signal lights and 173 for speeding.

Similarly, 128 people for flouting lane discipline, 87 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 85 for parking on the pavement, 56 for driving one-way vehicles and 1,249 for violating other traffic rules were taken.
