Kathmandu. Two youths have been arrested on the charge of cheating Rs 39 lakh on the pretext of lucrative salary in foreign employment. According to the Central Police News Room, Saroj Pant of Kavre and Anil Khatri of Ramechhap were arrested on Saturday on the charge of cheating money.
Pant had taken Rs 1.
6 million on the pretext of sending an unemployed youth to Ireland while Khatri had taken Rs 23 lakh from six people in the pretext of sending him to Dubai. Both the accused have been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further action.
Meanwhile, the police arrested 17 people in possession of banned drugs from Kathmandu, Morang, Parsa, Bhaktapur, Kailali, Gorkha, Sunsari, Banke, Palpa and Jhapa.
