Kathmandu. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has expressed sorrow over the loss of life due to floods in Nepal. Addressing the Australian Parliament, he expressed sorrow over the loss caused by the floods in Bhotekoshi on August 26.
‘Nepal is observing national mourning today. During his address, he said, “You are not alone in carrying the burden of this sorrow.” ’
Stating that 36 Australians have gone missing in the floods in Nepal,he said that the hope of finding the missing every day is like a miracle.
He said that Nepal is not alone in this hour of disaster and that Australia is ready to provide necessary assistance at every moment. He also said that through a telephone conversation with Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah, he expressed his deepest condolences on behalf of Australia.
