Kathmandu. US President Donald Trump has announced a reward of $1 million for anyone who provides evidence of voter fraud in the last election or the 2026 midterm elections. Trump made the announcement through his social media Truth Social. He said that the reward will be given only after the people involved in the fraud are arrested and found guilty.
“Anyone who provides information about voter fraud in past elections or the upcoming 2026 midterm elections will be fined $1 million if the perpetrator is caught and convicted,” Trump wrote. ”
The midterm elections in the United States on November 3 are seen as a contest for control of both houses of Parliament. The outcome of this election will have a significant impact on the legislative agenda of the Trump administration and the political balance of power in Washington.
In the United States, midterm elections are held at the midpoint of the president’s four-year term, which are part of the regular parliamentary elections held every two years. In this election, voting is held for all 435 seats of the House of Representatives and about one-third of the seats in the Senate. Apart from this, elections are also held in various states and local levels across the country. Mid-term elections are also considered as a referendum test on the performance of the president.
If the president’s party weakens its hold in both houses of Parliament, it may be difficult for the government to implement its policies and programs. The Trump administration is facing an election amid economic challenges and declining popularity. According to a survey published by The Wall Street Journal in September, Trump’s approval rate dropped to 37 percent. This is the lowest level among presidential approval rates the publication has conducted before the midterm elections since 1990, according to the report.
