Kathmandu. The government has shown interest in collaborating with the Finnish government to improve school education. During a courtesy call on Minister for Education, Science and Technology Sasmit Pokhrel at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Ambassador of Finland Petri Puhakka at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Minister Po kharel proposed to collaborate with Finland in the education sector ।
Finland’s education is considered to be of the highest quality in the world. On the occasion, Education Minister Pokharel thanked the Finnish government for its support in the development of Nepal, saying Nepal and Finland have always enjoyed cordial relations.
Informing him about the government’s priorities and future programmes , Minister Pokharel expressed his hope for Finland’s continued support in the education sector in the coming days as well, whileappreciating the support extended by the Finnish government in the education sector.
Matters relating to bilateral relations, mobilization of development assistance and wider partnership in education sector were discussed between the two countries.During the meet,Ambassador Puha kka pledged to continue the support provided by the Finnish government to Nepal’s education sector for the next five years. Finland is currently supported by the School Education Sector Programme and the ‘Teachers Education project.
Regarding the Government of Nepal’s policy to establish autism schools, Ambassador Puhakka said {{} Finland has expertise in autism and inclusive and and are also willing to cooperate and cooperate in these educational programs. Ambassador Puhakka expressed his willingness to partner in the region in line with the Finnish government’s expertise in the ‘Digital Transformation’ agenda, which is one of the priorities of the current government.
