Kathmandu. Home Minister of India Amit Shah offered 40 kilograms sandalwood paste to the idol of Lord Pashupatinath for the purpose of worshipping the Shree Yantra on Friday. The sandalwood paste, sent by the Indian Home Minister, was handed over to Ganesh Bhatta, the main priest of Pashupatinath, under the coordination of lawmaker Sandip Rana.
A special type of sandalwood paste is offered to the lord of Pashupatinath every year to perform Shree Yantra Puja. Last year, Goa ministers had offered 35 kg of sandalwood to Pashupatinath.
The main archer of Pashupatinath has handed over the sandalwood received by the chief of the Pashupati Goshwara office to Sushila Sharma for storage today itself. Pashupatinath, the special type of sandalwood grown in India is offered to Lord Pashupatinath every year due to the religious and cultural ties between the people of Nepal and India.
